why does it takes so long to go to court for dui and public intox?i have to wait 2 months?

i was caught for dui and public intox. and now i have to wait for 2 months before i go to court. i have a previous record of just dui that happened about 20 some yrs. ago twice. i have an attorney. so what should i expect to happen? i am 57 yrs old and i’m on disability. any answers would help.
